Dairy Queen Opens for Season
A Chilly, Yearly Tradition
Every year, the Moorhead Dairy Queen closes it’s windows and shuts down for the winter. Only to open up shop again March 1st.
The “Walk-Through” Dairy Queen has been serving people since 1949. And on March 1st of every year patrons stand in line for up to an hour waiting for their favorite Dairy Queen treats.
This video encapsulates the local Fargo-Moorhead area standing in line for what has been called a tradition for many. Rain, snow, or shine one can expect to see a long line waiting for those two windows to slide open and hand you your treat.
In the 30 minutes spent at Dairy Queen on March 1st you could see the joy that one ice cream shop can bring.
